Been here previously. Nice hotel for our needs, close walk to busy town. Good shops opposite in case you require anything. Staff at hotel were first class - thanks to Anna at reception, sorted out an additional room for an extra person. Bedroom was fine. Evening meal was very good for12 euros ish.

This is a very comfortable and quiet 3* hotel (there was a wedding when I stayed but in the 1st floor rooms it was very quiet). It is very clean and functional although the hotel came a bit in its years but for a short stay it is absolutely great. The entire staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a very good time there, I stayed 2 nights since I started my Camino from Ponferrada. Although the hotel is not in the city center (Ponferrada center is in walking distance) it was a great experience and as well the city center as the old town can be reached by walking. The only thing was the Wifi connection that is really slow and actually not fit for purpose but other than this everything was in perfect order.

it was a great hotel with its facility but if you are walking the Camino , the place was about 20-30 min walk to each the Camino path. The only close place to eat was McDonald across the street, there was a supermarket but it closed in th evening (8pm) and on Sunday.

The room and bathroom were exceptionally good in size for the price, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was also really nice.

Easy to find. Safe secure parking. Nice clean basic hotel supported by first class helpful staff. Evening meal was great value for money. Our thanks to Merce at reception for the assistance checking in and sorting out our parking. Additionally our thanks to Arancha who went above and beyond during the evening birthday meal for one of our colleagues. We travelled from Hotel Boa Vista in Porto to this hotel. Boa Vista could learn a lot from this hotel in relation to customer services and staff manners. Well done Ponferrada Plaza.

It was a quick stay and liked the location. We can't say much of the center walk(didn't go) tho the castle wasn't too far away. Great hotel and there's parking within the neighborhood if there isn't any at the hotel unless you want to pay.

From arrival to departure the staff were excellent. The room was clean and beds comfy. The staff in the bar were attentive and the food very good. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and there was a lot of choice from the buffet.

Excelente service all around, totally worth it, 5 starts rating for their staff and their chef!!!! Manuel in the restaurant make our evening fantastic with his outstanding service and knowledge of the industry. Ponferrada Plaza is about of this world !!!! We loved our time there!!!

The receptionists were two of the best ever encountered on our travels. They even provided vocabulary when requested e.g. Almohada. The barman offered help with pronunciation. Good breakfast too.
